Enfoque

Jacques Derrida is without any doubt one of the most complex, fascinating, radically original seminar thinkers of the 20th century and his writings have been the basis for numberless postmodern texts, at the same time they have been employed to analyze numberless cultural artefacts. In this paper,  I will examine how Derrida’s concept of ”phallogocentrism” can help us piercing the gaps (paraphrasing Roland Barthes’s seminal quotation) which constitute Chuck Palahniuk’s portrays of masculine identity, too often characterised by a toxic violence.
